2025’s Top RPG Features Voices of Daredevil & Gollum

-

Sandfall Interactive is bringing together an impressive group of voice actors for their game, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

In this action-packed RPG, we follow Gustave, Maelle, and their team on a mission to stop a cycle of violence. Charlie Cox, Ben Starr, Jennifer English, and Andy Serkis are lending their voices to bring these characters to life. Cox plays Gustave, the determined leader who wants to save his city, Lumière, from the deadly Paintress. Meanwhile, Maelle, voiced by English, is the quiet young one eager to flee the city. Starr’s Verso is a mysterious figure keeping tabs on the crew, and Serkis becomes Renoir, a man who would do anything to protect his family.

Fans often wonder how their favorite games come together so seamlessly.

Additional voices include Kirsty Rider as Lune and Shala Nyx as Sciel. Lead writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen shared that creating these characters involved developing the city’s history and understanding how past events shaped them. You can read more about it in her PlayStation Blog post.

The trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reveals some cool new gameplay elements like navigating different terrains and facing off against challenging enemies like the Golgra and The Tisseur. Debuting at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, the game is set for a 2025 release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. It boasts a unique art style inspired by the Belle Époque era, blending real-time action with classic turn-based combat.
