Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players were thrilled when double XP tokens from older games like Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone appeared in the Season 1 update, but their excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the tokens were removed.
Treyarch, the brains behind Black Ops 6, shared on X that there was a glitch letting players use those old XP tokens, but it could mess up the game. They’re working hard to fix it and hope to bring back the feature without causing any chaos. Stay tuned for more updates next week!
With the start of Season 01, a UI bug allowed players to activate legacy XP tokens in Black Ops 6. Unfortunately, it also introduced some potential risk to game stability, which is why it was patched yesterday.
We realize how much players appreciate being able to redeem legacy…

For now, there’s a trick. You can still use your old XP tokens in Warzone, and if you’re quick, switch to Black Ops 6 to keep them active. Not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.
Fans really love these games, and we always find ways to enjoy them no matter what.
Even with this hiccup, Black Ops 6 is breaking records left and right. Not being on Game Pass from the start didn’t slow it down at all. It just goes to show how Call of Duty is loved no matter where it’s played.
