Quick Facts
- Maquette will be available on Xbox platforms and Xbox Game Pass on July 19.
- The game was initially launched for PS4, PS5, and PC in 2021, and later came to Nintendo Switch.
- Developed by Graceful Decay and published by Annapurna Interactive, Maquette features captivating visuals and puzzle-solving.
According to Graceful Day creative director Hanford Lemoore on the PlayStation Blog, “Maquette is a puzzle game, but not in the sense that Sudoku is a puzzle, more like a story that has puzzles throughout.” Players will explore the game’s recursive world, uncovering memories of a young couple in love and solving puzzles through creative thinking.
The game’s most notable feature is its nested worlds, where elements of its stages are literally found within one another. For example, players might encounter a large, immovable cube blocking their path, but by visiting the small version of the level, they can move the cube, which then affects the regular-sized world.
Maquette is not just about solving puzzles; it also delves into emotional storytelling, taking players on a journey that focuses on love.
