Alan Wake 2 is getting two expansions, and the first one called Night Springs came out in June.
The second expansion, named The Lake House, is set to release in October, but we don’t have an exact date yet. This news was revealed during the September 2024 State of Play event.
Night Springs takes place in a Federal Bureau of Control research center in Bright Falls that went haywire and got sealed off before the main game events. Players have found notes and heard conversations hinting at what happened there, but many questions remain.
Watching the trailer, it looks like The Lake House could be the creepiest part of Alan Wake 2 so far. Its release right before Halloween seems perfect.
Special Agent Estevez’s voice is in the trailer, hinting that players might get to control a new character. But with how strange this game is, nothing is certain, especially after the Night Springs expansion.

To get these expansions, you need to buy them as a bundle. They’re included with the Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2 or can be bought separately if you already own the base game.
