Alien: Isolation 2 in Early Development with Original Director

-

Al Hope, who is the mind behind Alien: Isolation, has revealed that a follow-up to the game is on its way.

He shared the exciting news on

to mark the game’s 10th birthday. “Today, I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development,” Hope said. “We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready.” Although he didn’t spill any more beans, the logos suggest Creative Assembly will create it, and Sega will handle the publishing, just like before.

Back in October 2014, Alien: Isolation first hit the scene and over time, it’s been available on a bunch of platforms like PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and even mobile. In 2019, it turned into a web series, and by 2022, it had its own companion book.

GameSpot reviewed Alien: Isolation and remarked, “Alien: Isolation provides us a glimpse into a future that holds the Alien game you’ve always wanted. It is not, however, the vessel that carries you there.” They also took a moment to celebrate the game’s milestone by diving into why it sparked such mixed feelings among fans and critics.

Right now, we don’t know when the sequel will hit the shelves, but fans can look forward to a new film, Alien Romulus, while they wait. Plus, a TV series called Alien: Earth is set to air in 2025.
