The Death Dynasty Collection Event in Apex Legends has begun, celebrating Revenant’s rebirth and running for the first two weeks of Season 18: Resurrection. With a vampire theme, the event introduces 24 new premium cosmetic items, and players who collect them all will receive Revenant’s new Death Grip Heirloom Set.
Quick Facts
- Event offers a high-quality free reward track and a massive XP boost for Resurrection battle pass progression.
- Double XP is available in specific game modes and can stack with other XP boosts.
- Death Dynasty’s free reward track offers epic-tier items, 50 Crafting Metals, and 16 battle pass stars.
During the event, players have the opportunity to benefit from a well-crafted free reward track and an XP boost to help them progress through their Resurrection battle pass. Double XP can be earned in specific game modes and stacks with the XP boosts found in the Resurrection battle pass, further stacking among party members. This is an excellent opportunity for players to make quick progress on their Season 18 battle pass by teaming up with friends and playing the appropriate game modes.
Death Dynasty’s free rewards are epic-tier items with no Rare- or Common-tier items available. Players can earn these items by collecting Event Points (EP), obtained by completing challenges from the “Event Challenges” tab located on the upper-right side of the main lobby screen. The event’s free cosmetics match the color scheme of the premium Collection Event cosmetics, so players who don’t usually bother with free reward track cosmetics might want to reconsider this time around.
The 24 cosmetic items that make up the Death’s Dynasty Collection can be obtained by purchasing them directly with Apex Coins, crafting them with Crafting Metals, or opening Death Dynasty Event Packs. These special Apex Packs cost 700 AC ($7 USD) and each unlock one random item from the Death Dynasty Collection (along with two items from the evergreen loot pool).
Players who collect all 24 Death Dynasty Collection cosmetics will also earn Revenant’s new Death Grip Heirloom Set. The most cost-effective way to unlock Revenant’s new scythe is to use Crafting Metals to craft as many of the event’s Epic-tier items as possible, then purchase and open Death Dynasty Event Packs to obtain the remaining cosmetics. This will ensure obtaining the Death Grip Heirloom Set for 16,800 AC ($168 USD) or less, depending on how many items you’re able to craft.
Check out the detailed list of the cosmetic items included in both the free reward track and the premium cosmetic collection. The Death Dynasty Collection Event ends on Tuesday, August 22 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Be sure to get your favorite cosmetics before they’re gone for good, and stay tuned for more Apex Legends news as Season 18: Resurrection continues.
