Earlier this year, Embark Studios, started by Patrick Soderlund, decided to change their plans for Arc Raiders, moving from a free-to-play model to a paid game.
In this futuristic adventure, humans have gone underground to hide from killer Arc machines. As a player, you’re a Raider who bravely ventures to the surface, dodging these machines and competing Raiders for essential supplies. Sneaking in and out is tricky, even with a team to help. The small machines keep a watchful eye, and the big ones are tough to beat. On top of that, enemy Raiders might try to ambush you before you get to safety. But if they do, the Arc machines won’t care who they attack—they just want all humans gone.
Sometimes, we think that being brave means taking big risks to help others.
Even though it’s still in the works, Arc Raiders is already looking promising. In 2025, players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will get to experience this thrilling game.
