In the upcoming year, players will embark on a journey to feudal Japan with Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Get ready to wield swords and knives as Naoe and Yasuke, the main characters, explore their weaponry. Ubisoft has unveiled an in-depth look at combat in this game, highlighting how different weapons and character choices can change the battle experience significantly. Naoe is a shinobi/ninja, equipped with a katana, a kusarigama, and a tanto dagger for swift moves and double assassinations. Meanwhile, Yasuke, the samurai, boasts a vast array of weapons such as a long katana, naginata, kanabo, yumi bow, and teppo flint rifle, allowing him to switch weapons mid-attack for powerful combos.
Sometimes, fans just love the thrill of these epic battles.
Yasuke’s power suits him for direct confrontations, whereas Naoe excels in stealthy missions. Both characters have unique light and heavy attacks, with the capability to charge them into posture attacks that break enemy defenses. Defense strategies are crucial, as both can weaken an opponent’s guard for a successful counterstrike.
Players will face various foes, including outlaws, ashigaru, ronin, and samurai, each with distinct abilities. The Samurai Daisho pose significant danger, but defeating them promises great rewards.
Originally set for release sooner, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now coming on February 14, 2025, taking the story into a new modern setting. Recent leaks revealed details about its battle pass, and Ubisoft reassures that Animus Hub rewards come at no cost.
