Assassin’s Creed Shadows Introduces Co-Op Mode

-

There’s talk that Assassin’s Creed Shadows might have a co-op feature called “League” after it launches.

An article from Insider Gaming mentions that the details about this co-op mode are quite fuzzy. Rumor has it that it could let two main characters, Naoe and Yasuke, team up, but nothing is confirmed. The game got pushed back to February 14, 2025, and no one knows if co-op will be ready when the game first comes out.

Assassin’s Creed usually focuses on single-player adventures, though it has tried multiplayer before. The only other game that let players team up was Unity, where they could roam around Paris on missions.

The creators of the game wanted to delay its release after seeing how Star Wars Outlaws had a rough start, full of bugs, and even a patch that erased early access players’ progress. Shadows isn’t fully ready yet either. Ubisoft decided to drop the season pass idea and will give the first expansion to everyone for free.

People are sometimes surprised when big companies change their minds.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft is also making a return to Steam, despite their past complaints about the platform. Star Wars Outlaws will show up on Steam on November 21, and Shadows will join it when it launches.
