The game hides 300 bots, including 169 cameos, and plenty of other collectibles, but finding them is easier than you think. Instead of making it a boring task, Astro Bot has a cool robot bird that helps you out. After you finish a level, you can go back any time to search for the things you missed.
When you replay a level, you’ll spot a birdhouse in a glass dome near the start. It has “200” written on it, which is the number of coins needed to open it. This option only appears when revisiting completed levels.
Once you pay the 200 coins and pull the wires, a robot bird pops out. This bird helps by pinging any remaining hidden items, like bots, puzzle pieces, and secret Void levels. The closer you get to these hidden items, the more intense the bird’s pinging becomes.
This makes collecting everything in Astro Bot super easy and fun. It’s such a smart idea, and hopefully, other games will use something similar in the future.
