There’s an exciting charity stream happening soon, organized by Mega Cat Studios, Crowd Control, and BackyardSports.Online, to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
During the event, folks can dive into classic Backyard Sports games online, chat with special guests like game creators and athletes, and maybe even win some cool stuff. Catch all the action on Sunday, October 13, at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET by tuning in to the BackyardSportsCenter Twitch channel.
Interestingly, this charity event coincides with the re-release of Backyard Baseball ’97 on Steam, happening on October 10. Thanks to Mega Cat Studios, the game now comes with Steam Leaderboards, where you can see how you stack up against others in home runs and season victories in real-time. There are three ways to play: Random Pick-up, where the computer picks your team; Single Game, where you and the computer take turns picking from a random pool; and Season, where you manage a team across 14 games.
