Larian Studios has been hard at work on Baldur’s Gate 3, especially on the kissing scenes. They’ve tackled everything from height differences causing awkward lip locks to rolling out updates for unique smooch animations for each companion. This week, though, the spotlight shifted to Alex Jordan. He’s the voice behind those very kisses, and he shared a quirky TikTok video about his role. In it, he also plugs a charity stream for Special Effect, a group helping disabled gamers.
“Yep, I made those sex noises for Baldur’s Gate 3,” Jordan admits right off the bat. Picture this: him in a booth, smooching the back of his hand. Sounds odd, right? But it gets even weirder.
In the video, Jordan’s hand—decked out with cartoon eyes—suddenly cuts him off. It seems the hand has some… relationship issues to air. “I’ve been better,” it confesses after Jordan awkwardly introduces it. Jordan, trying to steer the conversation back, mentions the charity stream for Special Effect. His hand, though, isn’t ready to drop the drama.
“Why haven’t you called?” it demands, throwing Jordan for a loop. “It’s been months.” Jordan’s at a loss for words. The hand, feeling neglected, probes further into their “relationship.” Jordan tries to redirect to the charity event, but his hand’s not having any of it.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he finally says, admitting the kisses were all for a paycheck. The hand, visibly upset, says it needs time to think, giving Jordan a chance to plug the charity stream details: Thursday, February 29, at 2 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
Alex Jordan isn’t new to the gaming world. He’s lent his voice to characters in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Skull and Bones. Meanwhile, Baldur’s Gate 3 snagged the Game Of The Year title at 2023’s The Game Awards. Neil Newbon, the voice of Astarion, walked away with the Best Performance award. Quite the year for gaming, huh?
