Black Ops 6 Nuketown Updated Version Unplayed by Many

-

Adam Hoggatt, a level designer, thinks many players haven’t seen the first version of Nuketown, a famous Call of Duty map, which is why he’s thrilled to bring it back in Black Ops 6 this November.

In a chat with IGN, Hoggatt shared that Nuketown in Black Ops 6 will be the original map but with improved graphics. Over the years, Black Ops games have shown different versions of this map, like the futuristic one in Black Ops III, but now it’s returning to its beginnings.

He said, “I think the original has a kind of special place in my heart. Recently it started occurring to me that probably a large percentage of our players had never actually experienced the original one. So I am really excited that with Black Ops 6 can now get to basically revisit the original Nuketown and exactly the magic that was the original one but looking better than it has ever looked.”

Hoggatt also mentioned how Nuketown wasn’t part of the main plans for the 2010 Black Ops. Instead, it was an experimental idea about a map in a nuclear test town. The team loved it, and it became a favorite across all Call of Duty games.

Fans sometimes wish things could stay the same but look better.

Nuketown won’t be in the 16 maps available when Black Ops 6 launches, but it’ll be added for free on November 1. Some folks thought it might be set in the ’90s like the game’s story, but it’s sticking to the 1950s style, promising fast-paced fun.

There’s also a map called Warhead in Black Ops 6, taking place in Nuketown’s neighborhood, but after a bomb test. Here, the desert has taken over, with sand and debris everywhere.

The Nuketown vibes continue in Warzone, where the new map is Area 99, the birthplace of Nuketown.

Mark your calendars for October 25, because that’s when Black Ops 6 drops, and it will be on Game Pass right from the start (for those who pay for the priciest plan).
