When Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 drops, some gamers might feel the urge to skip work for a day.
Activision’s character, The Replacer, is all about helping out when folks need time to play. Peter Stormare, who you might know from Until Dawn, usually plays this role. Recently, The Replacer even stepped in for the Los Angeles Rams’ mascot during a football game! But it seems there was a mix-up—The Replacer in a Rampage mask ended up face-to-face with the real Rampage, the Rams’ mascot. Oops! Maybe he was meant to show up after Black Ops 6 officially releases. Let’s see if Rampage is still miffed by his stand-in on the next game day.
With sports being one of the few shows that get lots of viewers, companies are getting super creative with their ads. Like, remember how random actors popped up at the MLB playoffs to promote Smile 2? That was pretty wild!
We love it when games and movies find new ways to get our attention.
Last month, Stormare brought back his Replacer character in a funny ad where he pretended to be a fireman, a family guy at dinner, and even the Pope. But since The Replacer is just make-believe, players will have to sort things out themselves when Black Ops 6 arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 25. Oh, and don’t forget, it’s on Game Pass from day one! To get you ready, we’ve got info on how long the campaign is, if there are multiple endings, how progression works, and why you won’t see the Riot Shield in action.
