Black Ops 6 Zombies Trailer Reveals Crazy Weapons & Demon Dog

-

Today marked the start of the Call of Duty: Next showcase, unveiling fresh insights about Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode, set to release at the end of October.

During the presentation, Treyarch shared details about the maps, particularly Liberty Falls. At first glance, this small West Virginia town seems peaceful when you spawn. However, it quickly becomes apparent that it’s in the midst of a Zombie outbreak. You’ll find VHS rental stores and quaint shops, along with sidequests to keep you engaged.

Each map offers its own special weapon. In Liberty Falls, players get a jet engine that can suck in zombies and turn them into gory bits. New traps include a life-size action figure in a comic-book store that shoots heat-vision beams from its eyes to destroy zombies.

The Zombies mode this year is going back to basics with its round-based format. At launch, there will be two maps: Liberty Falls and Terminus prison. Players will need to brace themselves for intense battles against waves of zombies.

This year brings some intriguing changes to Zombies. Treyarch aims to make the experience more rewarding while expanding the community. For instance, players can use Essence currency to unlock escape routes or purchase Perks for added strength against faster zombies.

Salvage is another currency found from fallen enemies and can be used to upgrade equipment. Two significant quality-of-life improvements include player-specific loot and a single type of Salvage, unlike the previous normal and High-Grade types in Black Ops Cold War.

Fans love how these changes make the game smoother and more fun.

A major update this year is the introduction of more movement options with the Omnimovement system. For the first time ever, players can sprint, slide, and dive in any direction while chaining together combat moves.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on Friday, October 25th for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Game Pass subscribers will have access to the full game as part of their membership; however, this excludes Game Pass Core or Game Pass Standard tier subscribers.
