Brock Lesnar & Vince McMahon Not Playable in WWE 2K24 but Still Included

-

So, WWE 2K24 is dropping real soon, like March 5 soon for the lucky ones. But, oh boy, the drama outside the ring with WWE’s legal mess has everyone buzzing. Especially since Vince McMahon got tangled up in some pretty serious allegations, and Brock Lesnar’s name got thrown in the mix too. Everyone’s been on edge, wondering if we’d get to play as these two in the game.

And guess what? After tons of speculation, 2K finally spilled the beans earlier today. McMahon and Lesnar? Nope, they’re not making the cut in the game’s massive lineup of 200+ characters. But, hold up, it’s not like they’re totally MIA from the game.

I got the scoop from someone in the know over at GameSpot. They’re like, “We’re tight with WWE, making sure the game mirrors the real WWE universe.” Turns out, McMahon and Lesnar are kinda there, playing their parts in the 2K Showcase and MyRise story mode, but nah, you can’t play as them.

Oh, and about that Lesnar vs. Undertaker match from WrestleMania 30? GameSpot’s got a hunch it’s still in WWE 2K24. Remember that epic showdown where Lesnar snapped Taker’s winning streak? Yeah, that one. Despite the buzz, it’s not officially confirmed yet.

That match is legendary, no doubt. But it missed the bus for the Showcase mode in WWE 2K14 by just a few months. Fast forward a decade, and 2K24 is bringing back the Showcase mode with some of the most iconic WrestleMania matches, including this gem.

And there’s this bit where Stone Cold Steve Austin faces The Rock at WrestleMania 17, with McMahon popping up. So, it’s a good bet we’ll see some McMahon action in the game, too.

Given the down-low from GameSpot’s source, it looks like McMahon or Lesnar might sneak into the MyRise mode. Plus, with the game’s solid create-a-wrestler feature, I bet we’ll see community-made versions of these two popping up online pretty much right after launch.

So, even though they’re officially off the roster, McMahon and Lesnar will be lurking around in WWE 2K24, both officially and unofficially.

And hey, don’t forget: WWE 2K24 hits the shelves on March 8, but if you’re grabbing the Deluxe or WrestleMania editions, you’re in for an early treat on March 5.
