Mark your calendars for October 25; that’s when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hits the shelves.
You don’t have to wait that long, though, because the beta starts on August 30. To get a head start, you can preload it beginning August 28. If you’re really eager, download the Season 5 Reloaded update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone on August 21. Activision says this update will automatically include the beta files if you have it installed by August 30.
Oh, and if you don’t have Call of Duty installed yet, you can still join the beta by grabbing it from your platform’s store.
Activision has shared how big these downloads will be. The sizes depend on your platform and whether you already have Call of Duty installed.
Here are the estimated sizes:
- PS5: 34GB with the game installed, 80GB without
- PS4: 15GB with the game installed, 67GB without
- Xbox Series X|S: 35GB with the game installed, 75GB without

If you need access to the beta, there are several ways to get in early. Activision assures that once the beta ends, all early access content will be removed during Call of Duty’s Season 6 update.
In other news, expect a revamped UI and smaller file sizes for the Call of Duty app before Black Ops 6’s launch. The full game releases on October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. And don’t miss out on live gameplay for Black Ops 6 multiplayer during the Call of Duty: Next event on August 28.
