In a twist that caught players off guard, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s first season reintroduced the Hacienda map from Black Ops 4.
Treyarch’s Associate Creative Director, Miles Leslie, shared some insights during an interview, suggesting more classic maps might return. “We put a ton of consideration into the prospective remasters with each new game,” he explained to Dextero. Leslie also mentioned that while they focus on creating new map designs, they’re not ruling out bringing back fan favorites from previous Black Ops titles.
Earlier this month, whispers from a Call of Duty leaker hinted that the Launch map from Black Ops 1 might make a comeback under the name Cosmodome, either in Black Ops 6 or the next installment expected in 2025. However, we don’t have any confirmation on this yet.
Fans often get excited about these classic returns, as nostalgia really hits home.
Before Season 1 kicked off, Treyarch gave players a sneak peek at what to expect in Black Ops 6. They also announced a free trial for the game’s multiplayer and Zombies modes starting December 13, available for a limited time. Recently, players stumbled upon a game-ending Easter egg in the Nuketown map of Black Ops 6. Plus, there’s buzz about a collaboration with Netflix’s Squid Game, which has fans curious about what’s in store.
