The final season of Call of Duty: Warzone is here, wrapping up its run with Modern Warfare 3.
Usually, Warzone’s playlists change every week, offering a mix of solo, duo, trio, and quad modes, but that’s all changing now.
that the playlists for Resurgence and standard battle royale will be combined, reducing the choices available to players.
Instead of rotating weekly, there will only be solo and quad playlists for the standard battle royale on Urzikstan. For Resurgence maps, players can only play in duos or quads. If you want to play in trios, you’ll have to go to the competitive Ranked Play mode, which ends its sixth season on October 17.
Raven Software didn’t specify why they made these changes, just saying it’s part of “preparations for the future of Warzone,” with more details to come later.
Plunder, Bootcamp, and any limited-time modes will still be available. Season 6 includes a cool sandbox-style mode called Purgatory, which will be in the game until October 16.
These limited playlist options will stay until Warzone integrates with Black Ops 6 later this year. The first season of Black Ops 6 will bring a new Resurgence map called Area 99 to Warzone, while Urzikstan will continue as the large map.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming out on October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Don’t miss the big announcements for Black Ops 6, like campaign details, round-based Zombies, and Treyarch’s new omnimovement system.
