Activision has finally announced that Verdansk is making a comeback in Call of Duty: Warzone in 2025.
This exciting news was shared during the Call of Duty: Next event, where it was revealed that the beloved map will return in Spring 2025 to celebrate Warzone’s five-year milestone. Verdansk, the original battleground for Warzone since its launch in 2020, has been a fan favorite and many players have eagerly awaited its return.
The last time players saw Verdansk was at the end of 2021 during the Last Hours of Verdansk event, which featured a dramatic city bombing scenario. Over time, Verdansk has seen various versions, including both a modern setting and a retro ’84 style. Activision hasn’t disclosed what version of Verdansk will be featured when it returns next year.
For those who can’t wait until then, Verdansk is already available in Warzone Mobile, which launched earlier this year with two different battle-royale map options.
Fans often wonder why it takes so long to bring back something they love.
The Call of Duty: Next presentation also shared exciting updates about Black Ops 6 and Zombies. Players can look forward to the new Black Ops 6 beta, 16 launch maps, and more details about the Zombies mode.
