Gwendoline Christie will be the voice guiding players in Civilization VII.
“Now it’s your turn to reimagine civilization, and build something you believe in,” she says in the trailer. This makes her the latest Game of Thrones star to narrate a Civilization game after Sean Bean’s role in Civilization VI. Another famous narrator for the series was Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek (Civilization IV).
Many know Christie for her roles as Brienne of Tarth and Captain Phasma. She’s also joining Severance Season 2, set for release in 2025.
The new Civilization game drops in February 2025 for various platforms like PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. It introduces a fresh Ages system dividing gameplay into three unique eras. Each era has its own civilizations, resources, and gameplay styles. Achievements in one era offer benefits in the next one. Players will pick leaders separately from their civilizations for the first time ever.
We are excited about these new features!
In multiplayer mode, you can either play through multiple Ages or compete within a single Age. Cross-play between PC and consoles is also supported.
