Metal Slug fans are finally about to get their hands on the new game from Dotemu and Leikir Studio next week!
Back in the day, Dotemu, known for games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, decided to bring back an old favorite, Metal Slug, but with a twist—it’s now a turn-based strategy game. The wait is almost over, and soon it will be on Game Pass from day one, plus all the big consoles and PCs.
They’ve put out a cool gameplay video showing what’s coming for those who love the series. It’s got a different look with its top-down view and strategic battles, yet it still has that classic Metal Slug vibe with its retro graphics and wild weapons.
In this video, we see Clark Still and Ralf Jones, who first showed up in arcades in Ikari Warriors way back in 1986. They’ve been in Metal Slug 6 and 7 too. This time, they team up with Leona Heidern, who can turn fallen enemies into fake friends to trick the bad guys.
