CoD Black Ops 6 Enhances Anti-Toxicity Measures as MW3 Toxicity Drops

-

Activision has revealed how its new tools in Modern Warfare 3 are tackling hate speech and shared its dedication to improving these efforts in Black Ops 6.

In Call of Duty games, there’s a system that catches bad language in text and voice chats, and it’s getting even better with the launch of Black Ops 6 this month. This AI-powered tool will work in several languages, including English, Spanish, and Portuguese. For Black Ops 6, it will also support French and German voice moderation. Players all over the world, except in Asia, will benefit from these updates.

The game’s text chat moderation already handles 20 different languages, which will be ready for Black Ops 6 too. They’re also upgrading how they check usernames to make it faster and more accurate. Activision said, “The Call of Duty team is dedicated to fostering a positive and welcoming community for all players. Part of these ongoing initiatives involve the development and use of technology to help our teams combat disruptive behavior.”

So far, their system has blocked more than 45 million offensive messages, and voice chat toxicity has dropped by 43%. Since June 2024, when they improved voice chat rules, the number of people breaking these rules again in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone fell by 67%. In July 2024, most players who got in trouble for bad voice chat didn’t do it again.

Fans like to see a game clean up its act, making it enjoyable for everyone.

Looking to the future, Activision’s team keeps improving, with better messages for players and updates to the Code of Conduct and enforcement methods. When players first start the multiplayer modes in Black Ops 6, they’ll see a reminder of the game’s rules and need to agree to them before playing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release globally on October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. By playing the Black Ops 6 campaign, players can earn special rewards like an operator skin and weapon blueprints.

Get ready for exciting new features like campaign details, two Zombies maps, and Treyarch’s fresh omnimovement system as Black Ops 6 arrives!
