Mark your calendars for October 25 because Black Ops 6 is coming out with 16 fresh multiplayer maps!
You might remember Nuketown, right? That crazy, tiny map from 2010’s Black Ops that looks like a 1950s suburb where they used to test nuclear stuff. Well, it’s making a comeback after the game launches. People have loved its wild and hectic vibe, and it has popped up in different versions over the years.
On the Call of Duty podcast, Treyarch’s Miles Leslie spilled the beans about Nuketown returning in Black Ops 6. Even though the game is set during the Gulf War, nobody knows if there will be a ’90s twist to Nuketown this time around. They were pretty mum on those details.
But then, not long after the podcast aired, Treyarch dropped a teaser video confirming Nuketown’s arrival on November 1. It looks like the classic 1950s style we know and love, but they didn’t show enough to say what new surprises might be in store.
Also on the podcast, they chatted about Black Ops 6 Zombies. It’s getting another round-based map by the end of the year. At launch, you’ll see maps like Terminus and Liberty Falls for your zombie-fighting pleasure.
Liberty Falls got some flak after its first reveal, with folks saying it seemed too laid-back and didn’t have that creepy vibe Zombies maps usually have. Activision says they’ve been tweaking it since then, giving it a “moodier feel” and changing HUD stuff, even though it’s still meant to be smaller and more chill. Meanwhile, Terminus is going big and classic with the traditional Zombies experience.
Fans just love it when classic maps come back with a new twist.
More juicy Zombies info will drop as we get closer to launch day. Black Ops 6 is hitting Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 25. It’s packed with a campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies mode, so there’s plenty to look forward to!
