CoD Black Ops 6 Season 1 Launches with Huge File Size

-

November 14 is a significant day for Call of Duty fans with the arrival of Black Ops 6 Season 1 and a brand-new Warzone map called Area 99.

Season 1 brings a hefty update—74GB on Xbox and 50GB on PlayStation, as CharlieIntel reports. Players are encouraged to pre-load the update so they can dive in as soon as it launches at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. [Update: It seems like Season 1 is already available for everyone, even earlier than expected.]

Gigantic updates are nothing new for Call of Duty, and this one is no exception. Activision has been trying to shrink file sizes by streaming assets and other tricks, but with the Black Ops 6 Season 1 update being so large, gamers might have to delete some things to make space.

Exciting additions in Season 1 include fresh multiplayer maps, new modes, and shiny weapons. The store is getting more bundles too, like one that lets you play as a shark! Plus, the BlackCell bundle introduces the Goliath operator.

In Warzone, get ready to explore Area 99, which has ties to Nuketown’s origins. The update also brings Black Ops 6 features into Warzone, such as the Omnimovement system.

Sometimes, we wonder why these updates have to be so huge.

With all these new features and the anticipation building, players are buzzing with excitement.
