Destiny 2 Chronophage God Roll Guide

-

Echoes Act 3 has brought some new weapons to Destiny 2, and one of the standouts is Chronophage, a Void trace rifle designed to vaporize enemies.

How To Get Chronophage

When Echoes Act 3 dropped, Chronophage became part of its loot pool. You’ll find it in Echoes activities like Breach Executable, Enigma Protocol, and Battlegrounds. Another way to get this gun is from Echoes Engrams scattered throughout the solar system. To focus these engrams into Chronophage at Failsafe, complete the new Nessus Specimen quests for the focusing upgrade. Plus, you can craft this weapon with enhanced perks of your choice.

Chronophage God Rolls

Chornopage PvE God Roll

  • Barrel: Smallbore / Fluted Barrel
    • Smallbore: Stability +7, Range +7
    • Fluted Barrel: +5 Stability, +15 Handling
  • Magazine: Tactical Battery
    • +5 Range, +10 Reload Speed, +5 Stability
  • First Perk: Repulsor Brace / Shoot To Loot
    • Repulsor Brace: “Defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an overshield.”
    • Shoot to Loot: “Shooting an Orb of Power picks it up. Shooting an ammo brick picks it up and automatically reloads all of your equipped weapons from reserves. Increases range.”
  • Second Perk: Destabilizing Rounds / Target Lock
    • Destabilizing Rounds: “Final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile.”
    • Target Lock: “Damage increases by an improved amount the longer this weapon remains on a target.”
  • Masterwork: Stability

We think it’s cool when new guns come out that make old ones less popular.

Trace rifles need stability because they shoot a single laser beam that you want to keep on your target as long as you can. For PvE, having Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds is awesome since they clear out small enemies quickly while giving you an overshield if you’re using a Void build. Plus, Chronophage has the Echoes origin trait Radiolaria Transposer; it makes enemies explode and leave pools of radiolaria when you get multikills.

If Void synergy isn’t your thing, Shoot to Loot helps keep your rifle firing longer, while Target Lock boosts damage as you keep zapping a single target.

Chronophage PvP God Roll

  • Barrel: Smallbore
  • Magazine: Tactical Battery
    • +5 Range, +10 Reload Speed, +5 Stability

    First Perk:>Elemental Capacitor

  • Second Perk:>Desperate Measures
  • >Range

If you have to use Chronophage in PvP (even though it’s not great for that), aim for range and stability stats for better long-range shots and steady aim. Elemental Capacitor gives good bonuses depending on your subclass—especially Solar—and Desperate Measures can give a damage boost that’s easy to activate, helping win those tough fights.
