In Destiny 2, the Episode: Revenant is all about making your enemies feel the chill with Stasis abilities and mods that power up your freeze-inducing weapons.
To grab the Exuviae hand cannon, you need to complete the story quests in Revenant Act 1, which are pretty easy and fast. But unlike some other guns, you can’t craft Exuviae, so you have to keep trying to get different versions of it if you want the perfect one. It’s found in the Revenant’s Onslaught: Salvation activity, where you can earn it from chests after battling through waves. There’s a trick, though: by unlocking Tonic recipes in Eido’s Apothecary, you can make Exuviae appear more often in rewards. The Enriching Tonic, focused on this gun, boosts your chances for 20 minutes once you have the recipe. Check out our Tonics guide to see how to do that.
Exuviae PvP God Roll:
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Stability +5, Handling +5, Range +5
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- First Perk: Keep Away
- Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no enemies are in close proximity.
- Second Perk: Precision Instrument
- Dealing sustained damage increases precision damage
- Masterwork: Stability
People think it’s super satisfying when a weapon has great range and precision. With Exuviae in PvP, you want to be far from your enemies to use Keep Away, which makes your shots even better. If you hit your targets without missing, Precision Instrument boosts your damage, making it easy to defeat other players before they get close.
Exuviae PvE God Roll:
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Stability +5, Handling +15
- Magazine: Flared Magwell
- Stability +5, Reload Speed +15
- First Perk: Rimestealer
- Destroying a Stasis crystal or defeating a frozen enemy with this weapon grants you Frost Armor.
- Second Perk: Headstone
- Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the target’s location.
- Masterwork: Handling / Reload Speed
In PvE, Exuviae helps with its Stasis powers by making crystals when you get precise kills. The Headstone and Rimestealer perks give you Frost Armor, making you tougher. This gun works great with a Stasis build, especially when you focus on stability and fast weapon switching.
