Destiny 2 Festival Of The Lost 2024: Dates, Rewards, Updates

-

The spooky time of the year is nearly here with Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost 2024 arriving a bit later than usual, but it’s set to bring cool new stuff like masks and event changes. If you’re curious about the armor decorations, Bungie revealed some info about those, too.

Here’s a scoop on what’s coming up in Festival of the Lost 2024, including when it starts, what masks are available, and the prizes you can snag. Just a heads-up, there might be some creepy surprises!

Festival of the Lost 2024 Start Date

This year’s Festival kicks off right after Destiny 2’s weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on October 29 and wraps up with the reset on November 12.

It’s starting a bit later than last year’s event, which began on October 17, but the spooky vibes remain unchanged.

How to Join the Festival of the Lost 2024

Eva Levante is back for the festivities. Like always, you’ll find her at the Tower. After a short quest and delivering some candy, you’re ready to dive into the fun with neat masks.

Do You Still Need Spectral Pages?

Forget about Spectral Pages; they’re history. Bungie says players won’t need them anymore to fill out the Book of the Forgotten. Only Manifested Pages are required now.

Manifested Pages will come from “many different sources while you’re wearing a mask,” Bungie explained. Fans are eager to see what that means when the event starts, but it likely involves more than just the Haunted Sectors, which sounds helpful.

Festival of the Lost 2024 Masks

This year, seven fresh masks are debuting, celebrating Destiny 2 The Final Shape. Bungie also notes that masks from Haunted Sectors will have higher stats, while those from Expert Haunted Sectors will offer “spikey rolls” as well.

Here are the masks to look forward to in Festival of the Lost 2024 (official names still to come):

  • Cayde-6 Mask
  • Witness Mask
  • Tower Staff
  • Kadi 55-30 Mask
  • Thrall Mask
  • Runner Mask
  • Nezarec Mask
  • Ghost Mask

What Else is New in Festival of the Lost 2024?

Beyond ditching Spectral Pages, there are some new things and tweaks to note for Festival of the Lost 2024.

Haunted Sectors are still your go-to for Eerie Engrams. But Expert Haunted Sectors now have a chance to give you an extra engram.

For weapons, expect old Festival favorites with new perks. Bungie teases us with just a few of the perk combos:

  • Mechabre (Aggressive Arc Sniper Rifle): Lone Wolf in column 3, Closing Time in column 4, with Search Party as the origin trait.
  • Jurassic Green (Rapid-Fire Solar Pulse): Loose Change in column 3, Incandescent in column 4, and Search Party, Field Tested as origin traits.
  • Braytech Werewolf (Precision Kinetic Auto Rifle): Rewind Rounds in column 3, Onslaught in column 4, and Search Party as the origin trait.
  • Acosmic (Rapid-Fire Void Grenade Launcher): Withering Gaze in column 3, Bait and Switch in column 4, with Search Party, Nadie as the origin traits.

You can also buy an Exotic class item straight from Eva now, skipping the Dual Destiny quest in Destiny 2. You’ll need The Final Shape expansion, but remember, the class items won’t be attuned unless you finish Dual Destiny. Still, you might get lucky with random rolls.

Festival of the Lost 2024 Rewards

All that candy hunting will pay off with some sweet rewards during Destiny 2’s Halloween bash.

Here’s a list of all Festival of the Lost 2024 rewards:

  • Wizard Armor Ornaments for a spooky feel.
  • The return of the Superblack shader.
  • Arcane Embrace, a new shotgun with Arc element and Heavy Burst subtype, firing hard-hitting, two-round bursts and reducing flinch. As Bungie hinted, a possible combo is Fourth Times the Charm in column 3, Precision Instrument in column 4, with Search Party as the origin trait.
  • Lost Memento is back, allowing you to hold up to three at a time, earned from completing the Twilight Triumph or as a random drop when focusing items.
  • Complete the Twilight Triumph to earn the new Spectral Carapace emblem.

Have a blast at this year’s Festival of the Lost!
