A new Exotic scout rifle, introduced during Destiny 2’s Season of the Deep, will undergo some fine-tuning after being in the game for a few weeks. Bungie plans to adjust Wicked Implement’s unique ability Creeping Attrition, which slows a target down after landing several precision hits. In addition, the Stasis scout rifle’s Exotic catalyst will be tweaked to ensure the weapon is optimized for PvE while not being overpowered in PvP.
Quick Facts
- Wicked Implement’s unique ability Creeping Attrition will be adjusted.
- The Stasis scout rifle’s Exotic catalyst is being tweaked for better balance in PvE and PvP.
- Solstice, an annual event in Destiny 2, will return next week with a more challenging design.
Bungie aims to facilitate a rhythm with precision hits for players using the weapon. By refilling the magazine when collecting a shard, players can continue aiming down sights to chain precision damage. The catalyst’s mag overflow functionality allows for further extension, especially when picking off weaker targets and collecting returning shards.
In PvP, Wicked Implement’s perk will activate when a target is near death and will work with any Stasis shard picked up. Destiny 2’s Solstice event returns next week, featuring a more challenging design that encourages cooperative play. The event offers unlockable fashionable armor that can be transformed into high-stat gear, as well as the game’s first Strand-energy rocket launcher available as a reward during the festival of the Light.
