Tofu Bunny, an artist, revealed on social media that they had posted artwork for the Ace of Spades Nerf gun back in 2015. They showed side-by-side images of their design and the soon-to-be-released replica, and the likeness is uncanny.
In a follow-up
, Tofu Bunny suggested that a third-party contractor might be behind the alleged design theft, not Bungie directly. Despite this, Tofu Bunny expressed feeling deeply hurt by the situation, saying, “I’ve been playing this game for a decade and this just sucks.”
Fans sometimes feel that these situations are really unfair.
Bungie has faced similar claims in the past but responded quickly to Tofu Bunny’s concerns. A spokesperson from Bungie stated that the company is “investigating internally and with our partner” and confirmed they have reached out to Tofu Bunny.
