  • 10/7 4 PM PT
  • 10/7 5 PM MT
  • 10/7 6 PM CT
  • 10/7 7 PM ET
  • 10/7 8 PM BRT
  • 10/8 12 AM BST
  • 10/8 1 AM CEST
  • 10/8 8 AM KST

PC gamers using Battle.net can start pre-downloading the expansion today, September 30. Xbox and PlayStation users need to wait until October 5 at 4 PM PT. Unfortunately, if you play on Steam, there’s no early download option.

Not only will Diablo 4 bring the Vessel of Hatred expansion, but it will also update the base game with big changes. Expect an overhaul of the difficulty system, major tweaks to many classes, and updates to the Paragon system—all included in a free update that doesn’t require buying the new expansion.

For those getting the Vessel of Hatred, there’s a lot to look forward to. A fresh story campaign, a new region, the Spiritborn class, a unique endgame co-op dungeon, hireable Mercenaries, and the return of Runewords.

Fans are really excited about these updates.

To celebrate the expansion’s launch, there are some freebies available. From October 8 to November 8, you can get three free weapon appearances from the in-game shop. Also, a Twitch Drop campaign starts on October 8 and runs until November 5. Watching three hours of eligible Diablo 4 streams each week will unlock cosmetic rewards for the original five classes. If you buy or gift subscriptions to eligible streamers, you’ll get a mount and mount armor.
