After a decade, Dragon Age: The Veilguard finally launched last week, garnering decent reviews, including a 7/10 from our own analysis.
BioWare promptly announced a patch to address some of the game’s issues. Their social media post outlined plans for fixing crashes, cosmetic glitches, and companion troubles. “We have our first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard coming later this week to all platforms,” they shared. “This patch will include some bug fixes, minor balance changes, and some crash mitigations.”

One of the fixes targets a problem where DLSS options became “grayed-out” on a 40-series Nvidia GPU. Those wanting to use Nvidia’s AI upscaling for sharper images can look forward to this being sorted out. Another issue involved a companion’s skill points resetting randomly, but BioWare promises this will be fixed so you won’t need to redo your skills each time.
Sometimes, things don’t go as planned.
The most irritating bug caused player characters’ customizations to change unexpectedly during the game’s ending. If you saw your character looking different at the finale, this glitch should be gone on your next adventure.
