Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: First 24 Characters Include Multiple Goku & Vegeta Versions

-

So, Bandai Namco’s got a new game on the horizon – Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. It’s a fighting game, and if you know anything about Dragon Ball, you’ll know that Goku and Vegeta are gonna take up a good chunk of the character roster.

They’ve dropped a trailer, right? It’s only two minutes, but boy, does it pack a punch. You get a sneak peek at some franchise favorites – Krillin, Android 18, Mr. Satan, and a few others. But don’t get too excited, they’re not the stars of the show.

As the trailer rolls on, the spotlight’s on Goku and Vegeta. We see them duking it out in all sorts of forms. Super Saiyan 1-3, their god forms, and more. It’s a real treat for the fans.

There’s some other stuff in the trailer too, like video specs and a reminder to use a html5 video capable browser. There’s also a bit of a buzzkill – a message saying the video has an invalid file format. And, bummer, some content you can’t access.

You’ve gotta enter your date of birth to watch the video. And by clicking ‘enter’, you’re agreeing to GameSpot’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. There’s also a video caption: “Now Playing: DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO – Goku VS Vegeta – Rivals Trailer [BUDOKAI TENKAICHI Series]”.

We’ve got more info from a press release too. It gives us the lowdown on which Goku and Vegeta variants you’ll be able to play. For the Goku fans, you’ve got a whole host of options, from Goku (Z – Early) to Goku (Super) Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Vegeta mains aren’t left out either. You can pick from a range of forms, like Vegeta (Z – Scouter), Great Ape Vegeta, and even Majin Vegeta.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was first announced at 2023’s The Game Awards. The aim? To bring back the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series after over 15 years. Now that’s something to look forward to.
