Elden Ring Nightreign Test: Early Access to Lands Between

-

In a thrilling announcement at The Game Awards, From Software unveiled Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone co-op survival game, set to arrive in 2025.

Gamers won’t have to twiddle their thumbs for long because a network test is coming right after New Year’s, in February 2025, though the specific days remain a mystery. If you’re ready to dive in, you can start signing up for the test on January 10 and choose your platform—either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

According to the Nightreign website, this test will serve as a “preliminary verification test,” offering players just a “portion” of the game. While the exact number of participants is under wraps, they mention “large-scale network load tests.”

This new take on Elden Ring veers away from the original game’s solo adventures and its Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion. Instead, it emphasizes teamwork and quick action. Players will gradually gain power by defeating foes and collecting gear, leading up to a big showdown at the end of each challenge.

We all love surprises, don’t we?

The Game Awards were full of them, with not only Elden Ring Nightreign but also the return of beloved series like Okami, Virtua Fighter, Onimusha, and Ninja Gaiden. Plus, fans got a peek at Project Robot, the latest venture from Fumito Ueda and his genDesign team.

Come 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign will be ready for players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
