For many fans, waiting fourteen years for a sequel feels like an eternity, but finally, earlier this year, Fable–the first action-RPG game since Fable 3 back in 2010–made its grand entrance during Summer Game Fest.
Jez Corden from Windows Central got a sneak peek at some alpha footage of Fable and noticed a style similar to The Witcher 3 by CD Projekt RED. The main character seems to move through battles with a mix of sword fighting and magical spells, not exactly like Geralt but still quite impressive. Here’s the tweet he shared about it:
✅BREAKING NEWS 🚨
Jez Corden recently saw Alpha-footage of FABLE.
-CDProjekt RED dna. Similar Witcher 3 mechanics implemented like usage of different Swords and Magic
-Mature tone from enemy types to narrative
-Very polished for an Alpha build
-Heard there will be options…

Among the creatures in the game, Corden pointed out a giant chicken, which he found both “dangerous” and “scary.” There’s also a werewolf that can be tempted out of hiding with a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, and sausages.
People often wonder what exciting features will be in the game.
The protagonist, a woman seen in the first trailer, was confirmed by Corden. He mentioned that players might get to choose their character, although he hadn’t seen a male version yet. If we’re lucky, we might catch more of Fable at The Game Awards next month.
Slated for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2025, Fable has everyone eagerly awaiting its arrival.
