Fortnite players are often upset about something, and this time, it’s about how hard it is to earn XP in Chapter 6.
Epic Games has changed how players earn XP, making it tougher to progress through the battle pass or the OG Pass quickly. This means it takes longer to unlock all the cool stuff, and many people are chatting about it on Reddit.
Two main changes affect how you earn XP now: it’s mostly from quests and achievements like defeating enemies or finding chests. Unlike before, you don’t get XP just for playing a lot anymore. Seasonal milestones are gone too. But in modes like Lego Fortnite and Reload, you earn XP based on time played, with up to 50 levels available per week. Save the World mode also had its XP cap increased, while Creative modes let you earn up to 10 levels weekly.
Interestingly, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival don’t give much XP. So, they’re mainly for weekly challenges or just having fun.
Fans think sometimes change is hard to accept, but we always find ways to adapt.
For those playing Festival, it’s a bummer because they can’t finish the battle pass without trying other modes. Festival is now the slowest way to complete the Music Pass.
Moving on to the best ways to level up fast in Chapter 6, there’s no shortcut anymore. Epic Games controls the pace, and although glitches might pop up, big loopholes are mostly fixed.
Here’s how to stay on track: First, tackle the big battle royale quests. Weekly, kickstart, and story quests are good for XP. Most are easy, but some need extra effort, like using certain items or doing specific tasks.
Events during the season will bring even more quests. Winterfest will have many around the holidays, and a possible Godzilla vs. King Kong mini-event in January could add even more.
Next, when your battle royale XP runs out, switch to Reload, OG, or Lego Fortnite. Passive XP here isn’t super fast, but it’s steady. In Reload, hitting the 50-level weekly cap takes 37 hours, while Lego takes 35 hours. Lego also has its own quests for more XP.
Finally, find a Creative map that gives decent XP. While 10 levels a week isn’t a ton, it’s faster than grinding in Reload. Using these methods won’t get you to tier 100 in a week, but it will help you finish the battle pass with time to spare.
