NBA 2K25’s first player rankings have been unveiled, featuring the lowest 30 of the top 100 players.
They’ve also revealed this year’s top rookies and some leading WNBA players. Among the women, A’ja Wilson stands out with a stellar 99 OVR, making her the highest-rated WNBA player in NBA 2K history. Rarely does NBA 2K give out a 99 rating, and it’s often the case that no player achieves this at launch.
For rookies in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese both earned an impressive 90 OVR, making them the top-rated rookies ever. Kamilla Cardoso, Rickea Jackson, and Cameron Brink complete the top five with each getting an 80 OVR.
On the men’s side, players ranked from 100th to 71st have been revealed so far, all starting at an OVR of 80. The countdown will continue throughout the week until we find out who takes this year’s top spot. Last year, it was Nikola Jokić with a 98 OVR.
No men’s rookies made it into the top 100 this time around. However, Zaccharie Risacher leads the rookies with a rating of 75 OVR.
Fans love these ratings reveals even though they can change during the season based on player performance.
NBA 2K25 will be available from September 6 on multiple platforms including PlayStation and Xbox. For more details on editions and preorder bonuses, check out our NBA 2K25 preorder guide.
