Football Manager 25 Delay, Feature Cuts

-

Football Manager 25’s release has been pushed back by a few weeks.

Miles Jacobson shared in a development update that the game will now launch in late November instead of early November, with the exact date to be revealed in September. The game will also be missing some features that fans were expecting.

One of the features not included is International Management mode, which won’t be available in FM25, FM25 Console, or FM25 Touch. Jacobson said moving the game to Unity made it hard to meet their “initial quality threshold.” Plus, only 5.6% of FM24 PC saves used International Management. He noted, “The data validates our view that we need to do much, much better with the experience.” This feature will come back in FM26 but will stay in FM25 Mobile because it uses different code.

Another small change is that player weights won’t be shown anymore. Since women’s leagues are now part of the game, and women’s weights can fluctuate more than men’s, the developers decided to hide this info. The game will still use basic measurements for simulation.

Fans are probably disappointed about these changes.

Earlier in June, they also cut Create-a-club and Versus modes from FM25, but those will be back in FM26.
