-

Fortnite is launching its third consecutive mini battle pass, this time collaborating with the popular manga/anime franchise Jujutsu Kaisen for an event called Break the Curse. The event includes free and paid rewards, new skins and accessories in the Item Shop, new gameplay items, and a Jujutsu Kaisen Cup tournament. The Break the Curse event is now live, featuring a free reward track and a premium track available for purchase with 1,000 V-Bucks.

Quick Facts

  • The Jujutsu Kaisen mini battle pass offers free and paid rewards, including new skins and accessories.
  • Players can earn Curse Energy by completing Break the Curse! quests, which are released in four waves.
  • The Jujutsu Kaisen Cup tournament will take place on August 11, featuring unique gameplay items.

By purchasing the premium track, players will immediately receive the Streetwear Yuji Itadori outfit and have the opportunity to unlock the Yuji Itadori school uniform outfit upon completion. The free rewards include a wrap, a loading screen, a back bling, and the final item, the Shadow Play: Toad emote. A free Nue glider can be earned outside the reward tracks by completing quests.

Three Jujutsu Kaisen outfits and accompanying cosmetics will be available in the Item Shop: Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo. The Battle Royale meta will also feature new tools, such as the Straw Doll Technique and the Hollow Technique: Purple, which can be found from Cursed Llamas around the island.

Players can make progress through the Jujutsu Kaisen pass by earning Curse Energy from Break the Curse! quests. There will be five categories of quests dropped in four waves, starting with Grade 4 quests and continuing with Grades 3, 2, 1, and Special Grade. By completing a certain amount of each category of quests, the Nue Glider can be unlocked for free.

The Break the Curse event will end on August 25 at 2 am, coinciding with the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. The Jujutsu Kaisen Cup, scheduled for August 11, is the only competitive tournament during the event that includes the Straw Doll and Purple techniques. The top performers in each region will receive an emoticon as their reward.
