Bungie and Discord have joined forces to offer Destiny 2 players a special in-game reward, and it’s pretty cool.
This reward is a blue-ish shader called Celestial Ties, and you can get it by playing the game for just 15 minutes while connected to Discord. Once you’ve done that, you’ll snag a redemption code from Discord to use on Bungie’s website. I got mine before even finishing this article!
Discord’s new “quests” are a fun way to get rewards while playing games. These tasks encourage you to play specific games and often reward you with cool stuff like icons or graphics for your Discord profile. This is the first time I’ve seen them give out an in-game item like the Destiny 2 shader. Fans love when they get new things in games.
You can take on this quest on various platforms, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, but remember, it’s only available until October 22. After finishing the quest, make sure to redeem your shader by December 31.
Finding the quest might be a bit tricky, though. You need to look in Discord’s “Discover” tab, which is marked by a compass icon. There, you’ll spot the Revenant quest. Click “accept,” choose your platform, and you’re ready to go.
Once you’ve played Destiny 2 for the required time, Discord will prompt you with a code. Head over to bungie.net/redeem, link your accounts, and log in to grab your prize.
Within the game, you’ll find the shader at the Special Deliveries kiosk in the Tower, nestled between Banshee and Cryptarch Rahool.
