Funko Fusion Demo: Survive The Thing as Mega Man

-

Funko Fusion’s demo is now live, letting players dive into John Carpenter’s 1982 film The Thing, but with some wildly unexpected characters.

Among these surprise characters is Mega Man. Capcom’s Blue Bomber is playable in this demo, which you can find on Steam. While you can also pick characters from The Thing, why not opt for Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s or He-Man?

“We’ve been working on this game for three years, and this is the first time we’re inviting the public to experience it outside of recent timed convention demos,” 10:10 Games shared in a Steam post. “Any feedback, positive or negative, will be invaluable as we approach the September 13 release date and beyond.”

This co-op action-adventure game will include over 20 different IPs owned by NBCUniversal. Besides The Thing, expect to see content from Jurassic World, Jaws, Back to the Future, Shaun of the Dead, Battlestar Galactica, and more.

Fans think it’s super cool when games bring together so many different franchises.

In a recent preview, we noted that Funko Fusion seems to build on ideas from Traveler’s Tales Lego games. However, this isn’t a downside. We were amazed by the variety of IPs in the game, including mature films like Jordan Peele’s Nope and Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz.

Set for release on September 13 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC; preorders will come with a Walking Dead character pack featuring Michonne and Rick Grimes. Steam players will also get a free Team Fortress 2 character pack with Scout, Heavy, Engineer, and Medic as playable characters.
