Steam is spreading holiday cheer with a free game for everyone to enjoy.
Set in the vastness of space, Distant Space 2 is a 2D arcade shooter you can snag for free right now on Steam. This sequel follows the original, Space Distant, and according to PixelMouse, it offers even more exciting gameplay.
Players navigate their spaceship through 26 levels filled with enemies, including three formidable boss ships. While these bosses are tough, players can collect unique weapons from defeated enemies to make their journey a bit easier.
“Your task is to destroy enemy ships on each level to go to the next of 26 available [levels],” the game’s Steam page reads. “In addition to conventional ships, you will have to wait for the boss ships, the battle with which will not be easy.”
Fans might wonder why they didn’t release this earlier, but we are grateful nonetheless.
