GTA 6 Set for Fall 2025 Release

-

It’s been almost a year since Rockstar Games dropped the first look at Grand Theft Auto 6, the follow-up to the super popular Grand Theft Auto 5 that came out way back in 2013.

Everyone thought we’d see a fresh trailer for GTA 6 when Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, shared their latest financial update, but no luck there. Still, they did assure us that the new GTA is set to launch in Fall 2025. The report also mentioned that Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country will hit the shelves in fiscal 2026, which means sometime between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Meanwhile, games like CSR Racing 3 and Judas are still in the waiting room without specific release dates.

Earlier this year, during a chat with CNBC, Take-Two’s boss Strauss Zelnick mentioned that some of their games have been delayed in the past. Yet, he seemed pretty sure that GTA 6 will arrive on time. Zelnick emphasized that the game’s long development isn’t about fixing glitches, but more about crafting something amazing.

“In the case of an extraordinary title, for which there are extraordinary expectations, it’s not really about bugs, it’s about creating an experience that no one’s seen before, and Rockstar Games seeks perfection in what they do,” explained Zelnick. “And perfection is indeed hard to measure, it really is more subjective than objective.”

Fans can sometimes feel impatient when waiting for a game, but it’s usually worth it.

This year’s financial statements also showed that GTA 5 has sold a whopping 205 million copies on all platforms, while Red Dead Redemption 2 sold 67 million copies.
