Humane Solution for Battling Dogs in Indiana Jones & the Great Circle

-

In the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indy used to have a beloved dog named Indiana, but you won’t see him shooting dogs in the game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

The game, created by Bethesda and MachineGames, allows Indy to scare away enemy dogs instead of harming them, unlike in Wolfenstein where things get more explosive. During a chat with IGN, Jens Andersson from MachineGames explained that Indy simply points his weapon to make the dogs run away. “Indiana Jones is a dog person,” Andersson remarked, highlighting how the game stays family-friendly by not harming dogs.

It’s nice to know the dogs are safe, but Indy still has other challenges to face. The game leans more towards sneaking around rather than fighting, which means avoiding detection by soldiers. While he won’t harm the dogs, Indy is ready to punch a Nazi or use sneaky moves and whatever’s handy to deal with them.

Sometimes, fans just want their favorite hero to be kind to animals.

Mark your calendars for December 9 when Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with PlayStation 5 players joining the adventure in 2025.
