Indiana Jones Game Thrills Dev, Coming to PlayStation

-

Microsoft recently revealed at Gamescom that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will hit PlayStation 5 in 2025, after its initial release on Xbox Series X|S and PC this December.

Axel Torvenius, the creative director at MachineGames, expressed immense excitement about bringing the game to PS5, hoping to reach more players.

“The more people that can play the game–who can see all the passion and love we have put into this project and all the hard work–the merrier,” Torvenius shared with Eurogamer.

Jens Andersson, the design director, mentioned how bringing The Great Circle to PS5 was always a goal. He explained that their engine, id Tech, is designed for multiple platforms, which makes it easier to adapt for PS5. Plus, they’ll have extra time to polish it up before the release.

The game will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, with a PS5 release expected in April 2025. Troy Baker lends his voice to Indy while Tony Todd voices Locus.

Fans think it’s cool that Microsoft’s Phil Spencer said Xbox is about making money when explaining why The Great Circle is coming to PS5.

Andersson described The Great Circle as a “love letter” to Indiana Jones fans, filled with Easter eggs and tributes. But he also wants it to appeal to newcomers who might discover Indiana Jones for the first time through Game Pass.

“We want this to be the first introduction to Indiana Jones for a lot of people who can just try it out on Game Pass,” he said.
