In the first three Indiana Jones movies, Dr. Henry Jones Jr. never met a Nazi he didn’t want to punch.
Throughout his movie adventures, Indy always faces tough rivals, and this continues in the upcoming game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, by Bethesda and MachineGames. This time, his main foe is Emmerich Voss, who might seem more reasonable than Indy’s past enemies, but let’s be honest, a “reasonable” Nazi is still a Nazi that needs to be stopped. The trailer shows them meeting face-to-face, and even though Voss might not be able to take Indy in a fight, he’s smart enough to be a real threat. Voss was already searching for the Great Circle before Indy, and he might uncover its secrets if Indy isn’t quick enough.
Indy travels to the Vatican in the trailer, where he meets Gina Lombardi. She’s pretending to be a nun but is actually a reporter and the game’s main heroine. Unlike Indy, who is focused on archeology, Gina is more interested in finding her missing sister. Her story adds a twist to the adventure.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming out on December 9 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’ll also be available on Game Pass right away, and PC gamers can try it for just $1 through a trial. Unfortunately, PlayStation 5 players will have to hang tight until Spring 2025. With nearly four hours of cutscenes, this is going to be one of Indy’s biggest journeys yet.
