Indiana Jones: MachineGames’ Nazi-Pummeling Legacy

-

At Gamescom 2024, GameSpot got an early look at MachineGames’ new title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

This game is packed with classic Indiana Jones action: fighting scenes, puzzle-solving, and exploring various places around the world. The studio said they aimed for an immersive Indy experience. Players will need to be good at solving clues and also fighting Nazis. They also wanted to make the game more fun and light-hearted than their usual stuff.

Kurt Indovina and Dave Jewitt from GameSpot shared their thoughts on Xbox‘s upcoming action-adventure game from the Gamescom floor.

In battles, players can use the environment to their advantage by grabbing tools or making bad guys run into things like metal poles. Unlike other MachineGames projects, you won’t use your gun much in this game; it’s more of a last-ditch effort when things go really wrong.

A cool feature for fans is that when Indy gets knocked down, he looks for his hat. Finding it starts a cutscene and gives players a boost. When not fighting, players can sneak into enemy bases by disguising themselves.

We think it’s awesome that they included such a fun detail with Indy’s hat!

MachineGames announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live that Indiana Jones And The Great Circle will be out on December 9 this year for PlayStation 5 next spring.
