Exciting and disappointing news has surfaced for those who love life-simulation games.
The wait for inZOI, a super detailed life-sim game, just got longer because its release has been pushed back. But there’s a silver lining: it’s now set to come out on March 28, 2025. Originally, gamers were expecting to explore this digital world in late 2024, but the developers at Krafton, known for other hits, have shared some updates about the game’s journey.
Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim, who leads the inZOI project, took to the
to explain the delay and say sorry to fans.
“First, I want to express my sincerest gratitude to inZOI fans around the world. Your immense love and interest mean everything to us. I was especially touched by the wonderful reception we received at Gamescom, and it was incredible to see everyone creating such unique Zois during our ‘inZOI: Character Studio’ demo period,” Kim said.
He thanked everyone who tried out the Zoi creator tool and then shared why they had to push the release date back.
“After reviewing your feedback from inZOI: Character Studio and analyzing a wealth of data from our various play tests, we have decided to release inZOI in early access on March 28, 2025,” Kim revealed. “We apologize that we couldn’t bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible start.
“It’s said that among primates, raising a human child to adulthood takes the longest time because humans must be prepared to endure and adapt to their ever-changing surroundings. The extra love and care required to nurture a child to adulthood is how I see our journey with inZOI–a game that we will be nurturing together from its early access birth. This change in our release date reflects our commitment to building a stronger foundation for inZOI, so we can embark on this journey in the best way possible.”
People feel that waiting for something good is often worth it.
Even though inZOI looks amazing, it’s not the only fish in the sea when it comes to life-sims. Life By You was recently shelved, but Paralives plans to hit early access in 2025 too. EA is also working hard on making The Sims 4 better while crafting Project Rene, a new multiplayer experience. With its cool features like car crashes and chatting with ghosts, inZOI is set to impress, according to Kim.
“Until the release date, we’ll continue working to improve any areas that need attention, striving to create a game that truly captures the essence of life simulation,” he explained.
Kim wrapped up his message with a promise to keep everyone in the loop about what’s next for inZOI, aiming to create a game that fans will love for ages.
“Our goal is to deliver an experience fans can enjoy for a long time to come.”
