It Takes Two Hits 20M Sales; Developer Teases Next Game Title

-

In 2021, Hazelight Studios released It Takes Two, and since then, it’s sold over 20 million copies.

On Twitter, Josef Fares, the director, shared some exciting news about their next project, saying, "Getting a lot of questions about the next game. Here is a tease. It is a BRAND NEW IP called S **N. Can’t wait to show it soon." Alongside this, Hazelight Studios posted an image of a folder labeled "NEW IP" with a yellow circle and a secret date for its release. Electronics Arts will again publish this new game under the EA Originals label.

We wonder when we’ll get more details about this mysterious game. Maybe the Game Awards in 2024 will be the place, especially since It Takes Two snagged Game of the Year there in 2021.

Earlier, in February 2023, Hazelight Studios happily announced that It Takes Two had crossed the 10 million sales mark. Back in November 2022, Fares also hinted that their next game would leave players amazed and thrilled.

In our review of It Takes Two, we noted, "Despite the downright wild amount of things to do, It Takes Two manages to handle every mechanic well. This is the second release from Hazelight, and while A Way Out had plenty of fans, it seems that it may just take two to make a thing go quite this right."
