Kojima Apologizes for No Announcements at Game Awards

-

At this year’s Game Awards, Hideo Kojima kept fans in suspense with no new game announcements.

Kojima, who is juggling multiple projects at Kojima Productions, took to social media to explain his silence. He mentioned that his role as a presenter this year meant he couldn’t share any updates. Last year, in 2023, he and Jordan Peele surprised everyone with the Xbox game OD reveal at the event. Reflecting on this year’s absence of news, Kojima simply said, “Sorry about that.”

There’s much anticipation surrounding Kojima’s future projects, including OD for Xbox and the intriguing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PlayStation. Fans are also excited about his spy-thriller game Physint, which is in the works for PlayStation as well.

In addition to games, Kojima is also venturing into the film world with a Death Stranding movie in collaboration with A24, although it’s still in the early stages. We all hope to see more of Kojima’s creativity soon.

Despite the absence of Kojima’s announcements, the Game Awards didn’t disappoint, showcasing exciting new titles like Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
